Carrera 3 # 31-23 Cartagena de Indias, Bolívar, Colombia
Please RSVP by July 27, 2024 by using the RSVP tab.
We highly recommend staying within the Walled City/Getsemani, in order to have the authentic Cartagena experience AND be close to all wedding events! Please see the "Travel" section for information on the hotel block, other nearby hotels, and more! If you need further advice about where to stay, please reach out to our team of wedding planners for assistance.
As much as Juanita would love to force everyone to wear black tie, Cartagena will be hot and sunny in September. Both the wedding reception and cocktail hour will be held outside as the sun is setting. The dress code is summer formal, and we suggest that men wear pants and a long sleeve button down shirt (jackets and ties are optional) and women wear a midi or maxi length dress. Women are encouraged, but not required, to wear bright colors! Please see the attire tab for for inspiration.
YES! Additionally, please check your passport expiration date, as your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of travel. For example, since you will be traveling to Colombia in September of 2024, your passport must be valid through March 2025. American citizens do not need a Visa to visit Colombia. For other citizenships, please check online.
Please complete Migracion Colombia's Online Check-Mig Form 72 hours prior to boarding your flight in order to have the easiest customs experience possible! There is no fee to complete the form. https://apps.migracioncolombia.gov.co/pre-registro/en
Everything is walking distance within the Walled City! We encourage you to walk and explore. If you prefer the comfort of a car ride, then we suggest using Uber or taking a taxi.
The Colombian Peso is the currency used in Colombia. While most places in Cartagena accept credit cards, you will likely need pesos for taxis (if not using Uber) and to purchase items from street vendors and some local shops. You will also need cash if you're planning to take a day trip outside of the city.
If your guest's name is listed on your invite, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.
