First came a Whiskey Myers concert. Then came the infamous whiskey night at Cody’s brother’s house—friends, laughter, and maybe a little too much whiskey. From there, things just… stuck. Our relationship thrived (and survived) long-distance. We went from Atlanta to Warner Robins (just a two-hour drive), then leveled up to Atlanta to Boise (a casual 24 hours apart). But when you know, you know. After only 6 months of dating, Cody packed up his whole life in Georgia and headed west. Meanwhile, Juanita was prepping another room in the house—Sylvia’s room. Suddenly, we were learning not only how to live together, but also how to navigate parenthood. It wasn’t always easy, but Sylvia became the best teacher we never knew we needed—challenging us, growing us, and pulling us closer together. We quickly realized this was forever. So here we are, building our future side by side, grateful for the concert, the whiskey, the miles, and the little girl who made us a family. And now, it’s time to make it official.
