Communa 13 was once labeled the most dangerous community due to its astronomical homicide rates and it's forced displacement of thousands of residents, but now is known for its stunning street art, incredible views, and rich history. Please note that the cost is 100,000 Colombian pesos (~25 USD) per person, and is paid directly to the tour guide in cash after the tour.
A very large nature reserve in Medellin. Here you can hike, rent a bike, rent a horse, shop at the market. We recommend taking the cable car up for a gorgeous view!
The gardens are a must see in Medellin, we even considered getting married here! Entrance is free, however the butterfly house and prehistoric plant trail come at an extra cost.
Guatape is known as one of the most colorful towns in Colombia, with its most known attraction being El Penol (the rock). It is a 2 hour bus ride away from Medellin. We will be organizing a day trip for our interested guests closer to the wedding date.
