Imagine meeting the love of your life in your kindergarten class - seriously. That is how this story starts. Everyone has their one-off crushes that last a few days, sometimes even a week or two but those feelings eventually go away, but not this time. Determination and persistence can only take you so far as a five year old, but it was only setting the foundation for long-term planning. Fast forward eleven years to the summer of 2013, the power of social media brought us back together through Instagram and Twitter. "Why do they look familiar, and why do I feel like I know them," were questions we mutually asked ourselves. We watched each other from afar, until junior year when we bumped into each other and had a face-to-face conversation for the first time in what felt like a century. We immediately connected and built a strong friendship based on our shared humor, values, and love of music. After a year of being "best friends", that often meant being each other's wing-man/woman, we finally realized that we should have been considering each other in our search for love. We are so fortunate to be marrying each other's best friend. In the now 11 years we have been together (yes, you heard that right), we have been blessed enough to make wonderful new memories together, experiences things for the first time together, support each other in difficult times, celebrate life achievements, challenge each other to become our best selves, and loved each other through all the seasons in our lives. We cannot wait to see what this next chapter holds for us both, and we couldn't be more thrilled to start our marriage surrounded by our friends and family.
