Our story began in Brooklyn, New York. I was scheduled to come into the office to come fill out paperwork for employment. Juan was sitting there in the office as I was filling out the paperwork. I couldn’t help but notice he was looking my way and had a smirk on his face. I remember thinking to myself “Umm okay….” I kept my eyes glued to my paperwork. Suddenly he spoke asking me which school I would be working at. I answered…so as not to be rude. Juan tells me during this time he would be working there too. I thought to myself “Cool…” During our time working together I couldn’t help but notice what a personality this guy had. He was always in the hallways singing, laughing, making others feel good about themselves. Then there was me…the complete opposite. I did anything and everything to not stand out. I was very quiet and reserved. Waiting outside one day to go home, Juan approaches me to ask me for my phone number. We scheduled lunch together and began talking to each other every day to get to know each other. We both had so much to talk about. It was only a matter of time before we officially called ourselves a couple. The rest was history. Ten years later here we are!
