A huge park with tons to do from walking and biking trails, soccer field, and disc golf. Some of our favorite things to do here are bringing the dogs down to the beach or biking along the coastal trail.
Westchester Lagoon
Another great trail system, plus there’s a pretty lagoon to look at.
Point Woronzof Park
One of our favorite places to watch the sunset, planes land and take off, and of course the northern lights in the winter time.
Thunderbird Falls
A somewhat easy hike that can get a bit slippery but is definitely worth the waterfall views at the end.
Beluga Point
Belugas can be spotted here at certain times of the year- hence the name. But even when there’s no belugas to be seen the spot always provides gorgeous views.
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
A place to see a number of Alaska’s wildlife in their natural habitat!
Flattop Mountain
A good hike if you’re looking to sweat, but if you’re not there’s also a spot right in the parking lot just to look at the views.

Denali (formerly known as Mount McKinley) is the highest point on the North American continent, with its peak rising to 20,320 feet.
Talkeetna
Talkeetna is located 120 road miles northeast of Anchorage. The Talkeetna spinach bread is 100% MUST when visiting! (cash only)
Girdwood
Plenty of hiking trails, sightseeing, and a brewery. We are in bear country!
Whittier
The Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, also known as the Whittier Tunnel, is a 2.5-mile (13,300 ft) tunnel in Alaska that connects to a small fish town called Whittier.
Seward
Seward is covered in ports, boats, and sea life. We often see otters in the water and love finding sea shells on the beach!
