We met at a boba place called Tea Time. What stuck in Christian's memory during the date was Juana saying, "Sorry if I smell like furikake." I really don't know why that was his first impression of me. If we are being brutal, then Juana's first impression of Christian was "he's short."

We were on a trip to the Philippines and stopped by in the city of Baguio for a few nights. One of the landmarks is the Baguio Botanical Gardens which happens to be lit up for Christmas. One of the sections there was the “Filipino-Chinese Friendship Garden”. The perfect location. Christian proposed atop a tower and the rest is history.
