I met Tobi about 6 years ago. I had always known him as our church brother, but we started talking during my IT days. When I was done and went back to Ogbomosho, Uncle will call me and even dash me money. Fast forward to my NYSC year, I wanted to be posted to the East so I can redeploy but Gbam! I was posted to Kano. So I planned to return to the Southwest after my service. I had just broken up with my ex. Tobi was still around as a friend. We both Prayed and sought the face of God regarding our relationship but my strong head kept insisting on South west or nothing. Then around January I reconsidered because I got a job and stayed back. I asked uncle to write a detailed Email with his intentions and what he wants from me. The story is long sha. He later went to my home town to show himself to my people and now here we are fixing a wedding date.

I met Pelumi way back in the year 2013. We didn't relate much at the beginning just “Hi Hi”. Anytime she came around for holidays we never related much. Year in year out it was just “Hi Hi”. The story changed when she came around for her IT 2018. I attend church mid-week service every Wednesday visit the pastorium before service commences. Pelumi was always in the kitchen making either Semo or Amala and Okra soup. Mummy mission who happens to be her sister was always instructing her to serve me food before the service commences. From eating her food every Wednesday, the friendship began to bloom and we became so close. Fast forward to November 2018 during my sister's wedding preparation, I was the last person in my house to leave Kano for Osogbo. I needed food and was always going to pastorium in the evening to eat. One evening I told her to connect me with any of her friends as at that time I was not in any relationship and she was not even on my mind. She showed me various pictures on her phone. One thing led to the other and she was selected to be a part of my sister’s bridal train. Fortunately, she was posted to Kano in the year 2020 and we built on the friendship. The spirit was pushing and the conversation around a relationship started in December 2020 and we were on it till March 2021. Then, aunty requested that I write her an email to ask her out. This was after I told her verbally but she felt I was not expressing myself well and gave me that option. It took me a whole Saturday to compose the email and that night I clicked send. She responded on Sunday 7th March 2021. And the love story began. December 2022 I visited her parents in Ago Aare, Oyo state and that was my first time in that part of the world. Her mom’s hospitality was on another level, but home training no allow me finish the Pounded Yam and 'Efo riro' and Chicken. She even prepared rice as per son-in-law is visiting for the first time. It was such a great and nice experience. One of the highlights was boarding a Peugeot 505 station wagon to Ibadan back that very day. The relationship has been full of ups and downs, but above all we are more than conquerors. The question “when are you getting married?” kept coming to me. Aunty started feeling I wasn't serious, and was wasting her time, but Idan no dey bow to pressure until January 2024 when Tobi decided he was ready to marry the love of his life. Both parents met for the first time in April 2024 and the preparation has been on since then. To God be the Glory. I love you Temi🥰😍
