A mutual friend set Kelly and JT up on a "blind date". JT had just moved back to NoVA from Chicago and Kelly had been blissfully unaware of the perfect counterpart she had yet to meet. On the date, JT and Kelly found out just how much they had in common - so much so that each thought the other had to be lying! As the date turned into 3 hours of nonstop talking, Kelly and JT stumble upon the fun fact that they actually have the same birthday as well!! Do you believe in fate? As they both left the date, they went on to tell their friends just how perfect of a date it was. And the rest is history.

Since JT and Kelly share a birthday, Kelly thought this particular night was to celebrate together like always. Little did she know JT had an entire plan set forth for the night! There was a little beach nearby where JT & Kelly lived in CA that they frequented called Inspiration Point. They would go with a bottle of wine, sit on the beach, and just chat the night away. So this time felt no different - or so Kelly thought! After a very romantic dinner, they arrive at the beach, get out with their blankets and bottle in tow, and as they're walking down the hill, Kelly sees candles and a guitarist. She starts getting excited thinking they're about to witness a "promposal" as they have been seeing them all around town lately. As she starts to look around to see who it is for, she slowly starts to realize it's for her! In disbelief, and already crying, JT gets down on one knee while the guitarist is playing their song. JT has always had a way with words and Kelly no handle on her emotions when it comes to romantics - so I'm sure you see where it's going. Of course Kelly said YES through happy teared eyes and they celebrated their new endeavor of forever on the beach, just them and that bottle of wine.
