What time should I arrive?

10:30 AM (we will have coffee & tea for everyone in the morning!)

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be held on the beach (rain or shine!). Cocktail hour will also be on the beach, but there is a patio area off the sand, as well as an indoor bar. The party will move inside and upstairs for the reception.

What should I wear?

Answer

Beach Formal - just a fancy way of saying look nice! Beach formal is not as fancy as black tie and not as casual as shorts/jeans/sneakers. Ties and heels are not necessary, light fabrics (e.g., linen) and flowy dresses, as well as fun, bright summer colors are encouraged :) The venue has a "resort" feel (think white sands and palm trees) and our photographer is going to be taking lots of pictures!

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Whatever you are comfortable in! There are boardwalk planks on the beach so you can avoid stepping in the sand, but if you want to walk on the beach, we'd recommend bringing something easy to slip on and off :) P.S. The bride is wearing sandals!!

We have complimentary valet parking at the venue.

Answer

Check the "Travel" section of our wedding website! The bride & groom has reserved a block at the Hyatt in Garden City (eligible until August 10, 2017). It is about 30 minutes from the venue. Alternative options: Four Points Sheraton in Plainview, Viana Hotel and Spa, Melville Marriott or Hilton Garden Inn Melville.
