It all started when I thought to myself "what will I have in 5 years that will make me happier, and why don't I have that now?" One thing was, I would probably be married to John. I got over the notion of needing a $20K diamond ring, because I'm a klutz and I'd be devastated when I messed up my ring within two months, and suddenly our wedding was a lot more affordable. So, I found the perfect place [well, my mom found it], and started planning a wedding. We promise we'll be engaged by the wedding, and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
Once upon a time John told me he liked ponies. I, of course questioned this, but he insisted he did. My brother, probably frustrated that his best friend was giving his little sister the time of day, quickly snapped at John to hurry up and head outside with him. Little did they know, I was smitten. John had no interest in me, given I was five, but he remained my brother's best friend throughout my life. Everyone always joked we would get married when I got older. I always laughed, but secretly hoped this was true. Finally, the stars aligned and on my 17th birthday, John asked me to be his girlfriend. 10 years later, we own a house, have two dogs, and think it makes sense to get married.
