Our recommended booking deadline is December 31st, but if you want the most options with the best rates, it’s best to book early. Since we need to know who is attending in order to plan seating and meals, we recommend you make your room deposit as soon as you get the invitation, but at the minimum, book at least 6 months ahead so we can plan the wedding accordingly.
Room rates are listed on the Travel tab of this website. Flights on Southwest have been guesstimated to be between $220 - $400 round trip if booked early. Typically for guests, a destination wedding can cost from $1,000-$1,500 per person depending on some of the details such as your flights, accommodations, and additional activities.
We completely understand not everyone will be able to make the trip. Just be sure to let us know as soon as you can. Also - The resort offers a monthly payment plan option which may make the cost a bit more doable!
Yes - of course!! We just ask that you keep a close eye on kiddos at all times since there are many safety hazards being around the beach and pool if ever left unattended.
Yes - of course. Please just make sure your RSVP and hotel reservation includes them so the coordinators and planners can ensure they are included in the overall headcount. Unfortunately, we will not accommodate last-minute guests (less than 30 days before wedding date).
1) US Passport and a Photocopy of Passport. Expiration date must not be earlier than 6 months after travel 2) Sunscreen - Seriously! Make sure you don't get sunburned on day one and spend the rest of the trip miserable. Mexico sun is no joke. :) 3) Beach chic (semi-formal) attire for the wedding 4) Beach attire for pre and post wedding 5) Hats and sunglasses 6) US Dollars to exchange to pesos (recommend doing this at the airport) for spending money.
Although tips are technically included in your resort package, you’ll want to bring some 1’s and 5’s for the bartenders and servers taking care of you throughout your stay. Keep in mind, your airport shuttle driver isn’t a part of the resort staff, so bring some cash for them or potentially any taxi fare for outside excursions. Additional excursions or spa treatments are also not included and can be paid with a credit card at the hotel.
We worked hard to ensure you receive the best rates possible. If you do happen to find a more affordable option online, just let us, the reservation agent, or the wedding planner know and we’ll see if we can get the same price. This allows us to include you with the rest of the wedding party, so you all get the same group benefits.
Be sure to dress light and breezy, since the air will be warm and humid. For the ladies, nice sundress with sandals is ideal. For the men, khaki slacks, linen shirts, and nice sandals as well. Keep it simple. If you’re still unsure what to wear, be sure to ask us for suggestions or look up some Pinterest inspo!
Gifts are not necessary for a destination wedding. Our guests making the trip out is a gift in itself. We have our NewlyWed Fund linked out in our Registry Tab as well! Guests can always add a tour or spa treatment to our itinerary if you want to give us something to enjoy at the resort. Otherwise, boxed gifts or cards with money can be given once we all return home.
The best thing to do if you run into room issues is to contact the wedding coordinator. For flight issues, the airline directly is best. Please avoid getting us involved, although we can point you in the direction of the best resources. We will already have enough on our plate and would hate to not be able to remedy your issue in a timely manner. Just be polite and patient, and things will get worked out as soon as possible.
