Like so many great love stories, ours started… at a bar. It was a close friend’s birthday, and Caroline spotted JR across the room and thought he was cute. A little matchmaking from friends later, we went on a fraternity date night and had such a great time we started seeing each other regularly. Then came long distance. First Georgia to Mississippi while JR finished grad school, then Georgia to Colorado when JR moved west. Caroline finally made the leap to Denver in July 2023, and the rest is history. The Proposal In October 2024, after spending the beginning of the weekend at separate weddings, JR and Caroline met up in Roswell. On Sunday, Caroline’s plans to watch football with friends kept getting delayed, and her mom and friends were suspiciously missing. Before heading out, JR suggested a quick stop at a friend’s house—where Caroline found a backyard lined with flowers and a secret photographer capturing the moment JR proposed. They celebrated afterward with a surprise engagement party on Canton Street with all their closest friends and family. The Next Chapter When we say "I do" on April 24, 2026, we’ll be celebrating over eight years together—and we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding surrounded by all our friends and family.
