A stunning catholic church in the middle of the city square. Rich in history and a popular attraction for visiting guests. It is just off-set from the main square. There you can find the Sukiennice, which is popular tourist attraction where you can go for gift shopping.
A powerful and sobering visit, Auschwitz is the site of the former Nazi concentration and extermination camp, now preserved as a memorial and museum honoring the victims of the Holocaust. It’s a deeply moving experience that offers important historical insight.
For the nature lovers-- if you can, plan a trip to Zakopane. It is just a 1.5-2 hour bus or train ride from Krakow, and there you can explore beautiful trails, the Polish highlander lifestyle, and take a trip to the Kasprowy Wierch by cable car. We both have been and 10/10 recommend a visit if you are not crunched for time! You can also look into Zakopane bus tours, where a bus can pick you up with your group and take you there, give you a guided tour with food and drinks, and take you back to Krakow the same day.
