Maid of Honor
My name is Nikki and I am so very grateful that Jenny has chosen me as her Maid of Honor! I am originally from Texas but moved to Tacoma in the summer of 2022 after landing a traveler’s position in the microbiology lab at St. Josephs. Jenny started a few months afterwards, and we quickly bonded over our shared love of true crime podcasts, music, fantasy, and all things nerdy. I absolutely fell in love with the PNW and have decided to call it my permanent home. I left behind a large, tightknit family but Jenny and Jason are my chosen family here in this beautiful place. As a hopeless romantic, I’m beyond thrilled to celebrate the love these two share!
Bridesmaid
My name is Amanda, thought most people call me "Yoshi" or "Yosh." I met Jenny while working at Garth Englund Blood Center where we almost instantly bonded over music and games. I met Jason shortly after introducing weekly Friday game nights. Even though they are states away, I cannot imagine life without them. I promise I am a cool person; I have a fur baby named Nadia, I pole dance, and I enjoy reading spicy literature. I'm currently going back to school for welding and fabrication. (There is so much more but my husband will not let me continue to type more about myself because I need to keep this short and about Jenny and Jason.) See, I am awesome!
Bridesmaid
Hi! I have the privilege of being Jenny’s last roommate in Colorado before her move with Jason. I met her in February 2020, 3 weeks before what would be the most time-sharing, wine-drinking, pasta-having, tiki-tok watching, co-isolating event in the world. I love to travel, watch movies, and stay up to date on pop culture. I identify Taylor Swift as my spirit animal, prefer a night of trivia and board games to drinking, and I enjoy watching Lord of the Rings WITHOUT singing along to it. I love Jenny to madness, and cannot wait to celebrate her and Jason’s upcoming wedding!
Bridesmaid
Hello, my name is Jona. I'm a mama to two pups, 6 chickens, and too many plants. I take X-rays at the hospital, and I love a good home project. I'm always down for an adventure or a cozy night in. Horror is my favorite genre of television and romantasy for books. I met Jenny when she moved in with my friend Riki, and was lucky enough to see Jason and her love grow from the start. I can't wait to see them tie the knot and all the adventures that are going to come with marriage!
Bridesmaid
My name is Yelizaveta, though most people call me Liza or Lisa. I’m originally from Belarus and moved to the U.S. just before my 13th birthday. I’ve been a nurse for over five years, and I currently work as a neurocritical care RN, as I love plants. I’m a devoted cat enthusiast with a healthy skepticism for people in general. I met Jenny and Jason through my fiancé, Ian, and they’ve become two of my closest friends. I love them for their sharp sense of humor, honesty, and the way they’ve always shown up for us, no matter what.
Groomsman/Officiant
Hi, I’m Ian. I’m currently in grad school, but my backstory is a long one, so I’ll keep it short. I have lived all over, but most recently have lived in New Hampshire, Colorado, Washington, and now Rhode Island. I used to be an Organic Chemist but decided to change it up and focus on Nursing, and I’m working on becoming a Nurse Anesthetist now. I love the outdoors, hockey, traveling, skiing, and being a nerd (and My Fiancée and Jenny and Jason of course). I met Jason in 2019 while we were in nursing school in Colorado, where our friendship was forged through shared stress, late nights, and fiercely competitive cornhole games at DC Oakes. Through Jason, I met Jenny, and from there the chaos began in the best way. Over the years, the four of us (including my fiancée Liza, see the list of bridesmaids) have packed in countless adventures: high-stakes mini golf, karaoke, board games, camping (sometimes in the snow), hot tub boating around Seattle, and trips that always turned into stories. Most memorably, we traveled to Greece together, where Liza and I had the honor of secretly capturing Jenny and Jason’s beautiful engagement on video and photos in Crete. They’ve been unwavering, supportive, and endlessly fun friends, and I couldn’t be happier to celebrate this next chapter with them. Love you guys!
Groomsman
Hey everyone! My name is Jordan, and I’m truly honored to be part of Jason’s wedding. Jason and I met back in 2016 while working together at BioLife Plasma Center, where we became fast friends. Since then, we’ve spent hundreds of hours gaming together, especially during the pandemic, when Rocket League and Apex Legends helped keep us sane and connected. One of my favorite memories is when we actually traveled to a wedding for someone we met entirely online through gaming, and somehow it turned into one of the best weekends ever. That’s just who Jason is; whether it’s in person or virtual, he’s an incredible adventure partner and someone who makes every experience more fun.
Groomsman
I met Jenny and Jason when Yoshi told me her friend from work had a game night and we were invited to join them. We found a kindred nerdom and our game nights became a common occurrence and expanded our friendship. From Harry Potter themed parties to flying out to Seattle to visit, I've seen the growth of their relationship flourish. They were there for our wedding and I'm happy to be a part of their wedding and am excited to see what the future holds.
Mother of the Groom
A Letter of Love for Jay, Dad and I were so thrilled and proud when you were born. You were and continue to be the picture of your Father. Headstrong, stubborn but also kind, loving, loyal, protective and enjoying life to the fullest. When Dad became ill, his only concern was not for himself, but for us, his family. I always strive to be the best Mom I can be for you and George. All the while, knowing in my heart, I could never fill the void in our hearts by the loss of your Dad. Through the years, you and George, have grown into young men. Both of you have carved your own paths and accomplished goals that fill my heart with more joy and love than I ever imagined. I know Dad looks over us everyday. He has brought people into our lives, so we may continue to find happiness and love. You know I believe in angels and am thankful we have some very special ones watching over us. I am so lucky to have a son like you. I wish you and Jen a lifetime of love, happiness and joy. Love Always, Mom
Mother and Father of the Bride
Thirty-nine years ago Jim and I began our journey together. We grew up together in a small rural community, attended the same schools, and shared similar experiences, from the wild and the crazy to all the feelings and emotions of beginning a new relationship together. Life changed 8 years later with the birth of our son, Aaron, and soon after our daughter, Jennifer. We took on the challenge of parenthood together and never looked back. After spending our lifetimes in western Colorado raising our family, we made the decision to move to sunny Surprise Arizona and begin another chapter of our lives where Jim pursues his interests after retiring and I continue to pursue my career in financial services. It is our wish that both of our children may also experience their adventures in life together with that special person who can also be their trusted friend, lover, and that one person who still respects you even when they've seen the worst in you.
