How We Met

You're Hired.

In 2017, Jean-Paul was conducting job interviews for a soon-to-open restaurant in Arlington, VA. Little did he know that one particular afternoon, he would be interviewing his future wife. At the time, their relationship was purely professional, but it was obvious as their friendship grew, that there was definitely something special between them. One evening, Jean-Paul asked Melanie to attend a Memorial Day soiree with him, and the couple instantly hit it off. Soon after, the relationship hit a huge hurdle. Just as the new couple started seriously dating, Melanie became very ill and was hospitalized for over one month, spending many days in the ICU in an induced coma. Jean-Paul would spend days at her bedside, until her condition became so serious that only immediate family was allowed to see her. Miraculously, Melanie survived despite negative prognosis from her doctors. Upon her release from the hospital, the couple didn't waste time rekindling their relationship after two months of being apart.

Expecting

Plus 2

The couple became almost inseparable from the moment she was released from the hospital. Just as Melanie and Jean-Paul thought that life couldn't get any better, they received some life-changing news; the couple would soon be parents of twin boys! On June 1st, 2019, the couple were blessed with Rome Antoun and Rio David, and the twin boys became their world.

Engagement

Happy Birthday!

In September of 2019, three months after Melanie gave birth, Jean-Paul decided to celebrate Melanie's birthday by taking her on a short 3-day trip to Sedona, Arizona. The itinerary was jam-packed with visits to the Grand Canyon, the Red Rocks of Sedona, Horseshoe Bend and the Hoover Dam. On Melanie's birthday, September 21st, 2019, Jean-Paul proposed to Melanie while at Antelope Canyon, and she made him the happiest guy in the world. It would be our honor to have you attend our wedding at the very place of our engagement, and have you all relive that short, magical 3-day trip with us.
