The wedding is on December 31st, 2025 at 6:30 PM. The ceremony and reception are in the same location: Irving Street Studio (in the Ecotrust Building), 907 NW Irving Street, Portland, OR 97209. Enter the venue on the Irving Street side of the building. Please plan to arrive at 6:00 PM. The cermony begins promptly at 6:30 PM. The reception ends at 1:00 AM. (Note that dinner will not be served until 8:00 PM. Plan accordingly!)
We have secured a room block at the Canopy by Hilton Portland, two blocks from the wedding & reception venue, 425 NW 9th Avenue in Portland, OR 97209. To get the wedding discount, book through the link on the "Travel" page! Alternatively, there are many hotel and Airbnb options in the area. We recommend staying in the Pearl, Nob Hill or Slabtown neighborhoods to be close to the venue.
The dress code is black tie optional, meaning we want to see you in your snazziest looks! For Men: Preferred: Tuxedo with a black bow tie, white dress shirt, black leather shoes. Other Ideas: Dark suit and tie, velvet smoking jacket, custom sneakers (within reason) For Women: Preferred: Floor-length gown or elegant cocktail dress. Other Ideas: Dressy separates, a sophisticated pantsuit or jumpsuit.
Transportation to and from the venue will not be provided. The Canopy by Hilton, where we have a room block, is two blocks from the venue. If you are staying elsewhere or coming from home, we suggest Uber or Lyft. As it's New Year's Eve, plan ahead and book early. If you drive to the venue, there is a small parking lot. Street parking is free after 7.
We love little ones, but this is an adult-only celebration.
Following the wedding ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour with light hors d'oeuvres. A family style dinner will be served at 8:30pm, with cake for desert. Around midnight, a substantial snack will be served. A wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available throughout the event.
When you RSVP, please let us know about your dietary needs. The chef will accommodate with a special meal.
We will have midnight toast, countdown, and a substantial late-night snack to ring in 2026!
It's typically cold and rainy in December with occasional snow. The average high temperature is in the mid 40s with lows in the mid 30s. Bring a heavy coat and an umbrella. There will be a coat check at the venue!
Please do not take photos during the ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and videographer. Feel free to take photos during the reception.
