Parking and Transportation

OUR RECOMMENDATION

HIGHLY RECOMMEND uber/lyft especially if you are planning to drink OR carpool. If you want to bring a car and you are not staying at a hotel nearby, see our recommendations below.

Ceremony

We recommend you park at the church's parking garage Cathedral of Christ the Light Onsite Parking 250 21st St, Oakland, CA 94612 For a fee until 6 pm

Street Parking

Metered street parking is available in surrounding areas for the reception and after party. Please do not leave any belongings in the your car to avoid car damages and thefts. Please double check any limitations or for meters to avoid getting tickets or getting towed.

Reception

As mentioned, you can use street parking or park at any nearby parking lots. These two are the closest. Again, please do not leave any valuable belongings in your car. DOUGLAS PARKING MADISON LOT 1309 Madison St., Lakewide, Oakland, CA 94612 You can reserve at Spothero.com This is a 3-4 minute walk to the reception and after party. It is also 17 minute walk to the cathedral. 1506 MADISON ST PARKING Oakland, CA 94612 This is a 4-5 minute walk from the reception venue and from the after party. It is also a 14 minute walk to the cathedral. You can park at either lots before the ceremony if you don't want to change parking spots throughout the day. Each one will be 14-17 minute walk to the cathedral. There are parking spots at the reception venue but this is only reserved for specific guests and until 11 PM

After Party

You can walk from the reception venue to the after party, it is a 4 minute walk. Again, there are also street parking and parking lots nearby.
