Our Adventure

Dawn

Bride

Dawn: JP and I met 8 years ago when I started working at Blossom Ridge. We have always been friends. The boys and I always tried to make it when his band played. I never thought it would ever be more. 3 years ago in June JP asked is I could help w/ a wound vac for a Ukrainian patient. I helped and translated. We went for a beer after. The next Sunday we went to another brewery....the rest is history. We have been together ever since. We didnt admit we were dating till we had our 1st kiss while panting his wall of his front room of his house July 19, 2020. He gave me covid a month later. Haha! JP is an amazing stepped up dad for Eliya and Sem. He is my best friend. My strength when I need it. I didn't need a knight in shining armor to save me. I needed a weirdo who makes me laugh. He is that and a knight too. When thinking about our honeymoon we discussed many different places; Hawaii, Fiji, Costa Rica. Nothing seems to make out heart beat a bit faster till we jokingly said "How about Ukraine" I didnt know what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew I wanted to help people. So at 18 I move to Kyiv Ukraine to work in an orphanage and cancer hospital. Its pretty much where I became an adult. I always say my 1st love was a city not a person,

Groom

Dawn is an amazing woman; brilliant, beautiful, and caring. We 1st met on the job and everybody got to know each other very well back then. We worked together side-by-side for 5 years. I learned to trust her judgement, instincts, critical thinking skills, and clinical intellect. I have been an RN for 30 years and I will tip my hat for her experience any day. That is where my love for her truly began. She has brought more colors into my life that I even knew existed and shown me dreams that I never would have fathomed. She brings with her 2 amazing young men; ever growing, ever changing, every surprising, always an adventure. Semetei and Eliya are exceptional people both individually and when working together. As the years continue Dawn and I have found some wonderful life experiences and shared some exceptional dreams, and going forward I don't want anyone else beside me. When Covid came she was there when I was my sickest. What scared me most was I might die and we had just found each other. Our 1st kiss was amazing and neither one of us knows who initiated it, but it felt very spontaneous after a day of painting words on the wall of my home. I believe in her. I believe in our future, I believe in our future as a family. I trust in us.
