The wedding is on a Saturday.
The reception is approximately a thirty-minute drive from the ceremony.
The ceremony will end at approximately 3pm. Dinner and dancing begins later, at 6:30pm. However, there is an atrium at the hotel reception venue that will be available for socializing any time after the ceremony. There will be drinks and appetizers in the atrium space around 5pm prior to dinner in the ballroom at 6pm.
Yes, both the ceremony and the reception at the hotel will be indoors.
Yes, the ceremony will be at Saint John Neumann Catholic Church. This is a sacred space, the House of the Lord. The Church asks us to remind guests that food and beverages, including alcohol, gum, and tobacco are prohibited anywhere in and outside the Church. For the sake of the security and safety of children, they are never to be apart from direct adult supervision while on church property. Also, children who need to leave the pews during the liturgy to go to the bathroom must be accompanied by an adult. Children are most welcome!
St. John Neumann can be difficult to find for persons not familiar with Austin. The church sign is subtle and the area is heavily wooded. There are multiple buildings on the campus, please allow some time to locate the building. There is plenty of parking. Directions are available on this website.
The ceremony is Catholic. It will not be a mass with communion, rather the Liturgy of the Word, followed by the Rite of Matrimony. This is often the case for a Catholic marrying a person of another Faith Tradition. The ceremony will likely be less than an hour.
