We met at a Morris Day Concert at the Golden Nugget. It was a series of things that brought us to the same spot that night. Delton had broke down in Dallas and didn't want to spend the weekend in a truck stop. Kathy was flying to Lake Charles, but had to change her plans and drive so she could stop in Houston. Delton called his sister, who called Kathy, and Delton rode to Lake Charles with her. She was going to concert but did not have an extra ticket for Delton. I was invited to concert by Debbie but I cancelled because I had been scheduled for overtime the next day. Kathy called and said I had to come, just for a little while. So Debbie and I left for the Golden Nugget. One of Kathy's guests could not make it so she called Delton, at his Mom's house and said she had an extra ticket. We attended the concert then all met up after. We had a few drinks in the VIP lounge and Kathy introduced me to Delton. There was an immediate connection. Even though I had to be to work at 4am, Delton and I talked until 1:30am. Then he walked me to my car. We talked on the phone for another hour after I got home. We have been going strong, together, from that very first day. We had been thru a lot of mess in previous relationships and knew exactly what we wanted. We owe our meeting to my cousin Kathy, his sister Germaine and Morris Day.
