Joy's side: After many failed dating attempts, her brother sent her a screenshot of a Spotify ad for a Christian dating app. Just to say she did it, she downloaded the app deciding she would give it a week and then delete it. The day before she was going to delete the app, she came across the profile of a handsome man with brown hair and brown eyes (her dream). Though there was no information in his profile, she saw a picture of him on the beach with his niece; barefoot and wearing jeans. Joy quickly became intrigued by this handsome man, but with no information about him she was hesitant. She thought to herself "What is the worst that could happen? He could say no and I would never know." and swiped right... Little did she know she would get a notification from him 24 hours later. Tyson's Side: For a 35 year old bachelor who isn't the biggest fan of social media, downloading a dating app is truly the last resort. However, his circles were getting smaller, and if he wanted to meet someone, online might be his biggest chance. After seeing an ad for a Christian dating app, he decided to give it a try... Months later he finally created his profile and the first girl Tyson saw was Joy. Taken aback by her big blue eyes, bright smile, and her beautiful face, Tyson had to get to know her. He clicked on her profile and was immediately drawn to her sense of humor, and her dislike of dating apps. Armed with all the information he needed, he sent her the first message. It took them a month and half to finally meet in person, but they both left their first date knowing that they had just met the person they would spend the rest of their lives with. Exactly one year after Tyson sent the first message, he was on one knee proposing to Joy at the Botanical Gardens.
