Question

Why are you having a Vow Renewal? What even is this?

Answer

We are really proud of being really happy after 25 years of marriage despite being little dumb babies when we made the big decision to get married. Due to part luck, part hard work, and completely because we think each other is awesome in their own amazing, flawed way, here we are 25 years later! We are completely new people with a completely new life and just really happy to be sharing it with each other. That all seems like something to celebrate! We've been lucky enough to have some friends with us since the beginning and we have met and fell in love with so many other people since that day 25 years ago. We are excited to have them all together and have a proper, grown up party together.

Question

What do you wear to a Vow Renewal outside in Utah in October?

Answer

Please wear what makes you feel comfortable for the long evening and the outdoor venue. The weather could be between the 50s and 70s as fall weather does. This is not a formal affair, but we are hoping it will be a beautiful one. We will be dancing, playing games, and hopefully feeling relaxed, so dress in whatever allows you to have a good time. As long as you land somewhere between sweats and black tie, you'll look great!

Question

Should we bring our kids? They're going to think this is so boring.

Answer

If your kids know us, like us, and want to party with us, we (and our kids!) will love to have them there. If they'd rather not hang out with basic strangers for a long evening, leave them somewhere safe for the night!

Question

Will you be sad if we're not at all of the scheduled events?

Answer

Please only come to what works with your schedule and your interests! No sad/mad/guilty/worried feelings about attendance allowed!

Question

Will we miss out if we don't stay in the same area you are staying?

Answer

Definitely not. We know many of you have friends or family in the St George area and will be staying with them and we know that staying in a multi-family home would be silly for one person/family. The scheduled events will allow us to spend time together regardless of where people are staying. We chose the Sienna Hills neighborhood because of its convenient location to all of our activities, its low cost for accommodations, the ability for families or friends to stay together, and the community's amenities that we can use for all of our guests.

Question

Do we need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP to the main event (the ceremony and celebration) by September 1, 2024 at the latest. The sooner we know, the better we can plan! All of the other activities need no RSVP. Show up if you want, it's ok if you don't!
