Question

What is a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony?

Answer

A Vietnamese tea ceremony is a traditional and respectful ritual performed during a wedding to honor elders, unite two families, and express gratitude. The couple serves tea to their parents and other senior family members to symbolize a joining of families and to seek their blessings for a harmonious union. The couple serve tea to parents as a gesture of gratitude. In return, parents gift with red envelopes, jewelry, and heartfelt advice for a happy marriage. Afterward, the couple will serve tea to other elders and family members who come up to share blessings, wisdom, and gifts. It is a beautiful way to connect generations and kick off the marriage with love and support from both families. For any additional questions please feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom!
