We’ve Found Love Again!

In a world full of fleeting conversations and chance encounters, God chose something as simple as an online connection to begin writing one of the greatest blessings of our lives. What started as a few messages on a screen slowly unfolded into meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and a quiet, undeniable peace — the kind that can only come when something is being guided by His hand. Our first two dates in November and December of 2024 revealed how naturally we connected and how much we shared in common. Yet life was moving quickly around us. A child graduating from college and a celebratory cruise for Eddie, and the joyful anticipation of two grandchildren being born for Joy meant our schedules were full and our timing uncertain. For a season, we lost touch. But when God is writing the story, no chapter is ever truly closed. In April, through a series of unexpected circumstances, our paths crossed again. What began as lighthearted phone conversations led to a simple lunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We didn’t yet know where it would lead — but looking back, we can now clearly see God’s fingerprints on every moment. Over the summer, friendship deepened into love. With gratitude and humility, we both realized we had been given something rare — a second chance at true love. Then in October, surrounded by the beauty of the Eastern Caribbean, Eddie completely surprised Joy by asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. And now, on May 9th, we gather not only to celebrate a wedding, but to honor the faithfulness of a God who brought two hearts together at exactly the right time.
