We're getting married!

Joy and Cooper's first interaction was in the school cafeteria — Cooper was sitting with a friend of Joy, and Joy thought he was cute. Later that day, Joy asked her friend if she had his Snapchat so that she could add him.

Joy would invite Cooper to school events that her friends organized. Then, they started snapping each other more often, and one day Joy asked Cooper to walk around the campus pond. To her surprise, Cooper agreed. After they had been walking for about 4 hours, Cooper asked Joy to go out to dinner with him sometime. She said yes (so long as it was with friends 😅).

We made it official and marked the start of our incredible journey together! While Joy and Cooper dated happily, Joy's friends liked to joke about buying her a ring, because they came first. Little did they know, Cooper would beat them to it.

They had been hanging out for several hours before the question was popped, and Cooper gave absolutely no hints. Joy was very clueless from the start and thought it was to celebrate their 1.5-year dating anniversary! Cooper had made a plan to go to John Ball Zoo and eat dinner at Tupelo Honey. After dinner, Joy had a spontaneous idea and asked Cooper if they could get Boba. As they were walking, Cooper had made a wrong turn (or so Joy thought :D) and decided to go in the opposite direction. Joy asked Cooper, "Why are we going this way?" and he just responded with, "I want to watch the sunset first." (Joy thought this was a little suspicious at first but decided to go along with it, thinking he was just trying to be romantic). Once he found "the" spot, they sat on a bench and had a long conversation about life and their futures. Cooper then turned to Joy and said "remember when your friend made a joke about buying you a ring first? Well I beat her to it". He then got down on one knee and asked Joy to be his wife. After Joy made sure that Cooper had the proper approval from her parents .... she said YES!! ...and she finally got her Boba👏🏼

The beginning of forever!
