No, there isn't. We are so excited that you want to celebrate our marriage with us! Truly, our greatest gift is that of your presence. As a pair of well-past-20's, we lack for very few household items; and, with a big move upcoming, we are challenged with reducing our two homes into one. We do understand that you may still wish to offer a gift. Please consider a helping hand or a song for the celebration, or contributing to our honeymoon or family savings funds.
Thank you for asking! We will happily take you up on your gift of service or snacks :) Helping hands for set-up, clean-up, and all the many other tasks, before and after, would be greatly appreciated. Please contact us to sign you up for a job or a dish to share!
Absolutely! We will have both live music and dance music throughout the evening. Wear your comfiest snow-boots! We also know that we have a guest list rich with talented singers and musicians. If you would like to offer a gift of song, we would be delighted for you to share your skills at our celebration.
You bet your beaver-skin hats it is! Winter woolies or snowsuits are strongly recommended, accented by woodland-inspired masks or other accessories. Please see details on the Schedule page.
We wish it was, but nope, this is not a legal wedding ceremony. Due to the unknown date of approval for our visa application, we are not sure when our legal wedding will be. In truth, we may not have a lot of notice at that time, so it may be very difficult for our friends and family to attend. Instead, we have gone ahead and planned wedding-style ceremonies and celebrations in both British Columbia and California, at times that worked well for us. This is our opportunity to join together to celebrate North of the border.
We are, but we don't know when. Some time after the move to California we plan to take a camping trip on the ocean. Not fancy, but definitely beautiful! Immigration and moving costs mean we will have a tight budget for this trip so any help with our travel or meals would be much appreciated!
We definitely want to raise children together, and hope to start a family in the next few years. As you may have guessed, a surprise baby after a night of sparkling drinks and slow dancing in the kitchen is highly unlikely. Whether by adoption or biological science, starting a family will be a substantial financial undertaking for us. Any gifts to help us with this will be put into a savings account until the time that they are needed.
