"So, I'm pretty sure Logan has a crush on you..." This heads up, voiced by my best friend, was met by protests and denial from me, even though I was secretly flattered. Logan Bruhn, our mutual friend, was a sophomore in high school, and I was a senior. Although I definitely thought he was funny and cute, the age gap seemed like a dealbreaker. However, after a few more months of road trips, late night conversations, and many "platonic" hugs, I was smitten with this genuinely kind-hearted, brown-haired, green-eyed boy. Three years, two college degrees, and one ring later, we were engaged. Logan proposed to me in the middle of a pandemic on a stunning lake in Arkansas. I said, "Are you kidding me?!" Then I said, "YES!" Over the years, Logan and I have grown into each other. We've watched each other flourish, and cultivate our own passions. Although we've learned many lessons together, the lesson of contentment and joy is the one we hold closest to our hearts. Needless to say, we are endlessly excited to create a home and a life filled with the contentment and joy we've found together.
