We grew up five hours away and found each other 1,500 miles from home. We met at our mutual friend's birthday party where Ashton wooed Joanna with his dashing sense of style and love of NPR. Towards the end of the night, Joanna asked Neill what he thought of Ashton. He said, "Invite me to the wedding" (we did). Both Joanna and Ashton claim credit for asking the other out first.
