HER STORY: We met on the first day of college, biology class. Out of the few seats that still remained open, I choose the one next to Jeff... the kindhearted, intelligent, and incredibly funny Jeff! We were both pursuing the same science degree and our roads inevitably crossed for the next four years. We became good friends, chemistry partners, and unknowingly soulmates! While we shared similar goals and values, we came from distinct cultures. At the time this seemed like a roadblock and felt like a heartbreak! After a bit of distancing and graduating from college, our paths crossed again...this time at Starbucks. There's first love, yearning love, rekindled love, and everlasting love. Having experienced each, ours has become the best kind of all! HIS STORY: First day of college. Your boy was GTL'd and ready to mingle. I thought I wouldn't have a shot with the fine woman that sat next to me in class that first day, or that we'd be friends at all, but SPOILER: We're getting hitched! Jovana and I shared many classes and labs together, so we spent a lot of time getting to know each other - especially each other's strengths and weaknesses. As for me, I wasn't the best in chemistry, and for her, the struggle was math. So, I made my move. To this day, there's no doubt in my mind I wooed Jovana by dishing my skills in Calculus at her... the perks of being Asian, I guess. Long story short, we developed feelings for each other, feelings that were happening too fast for the young me and a regretful distancing followed. Fast-forward to post-graduation, I reached out to Jovana for a chance to reconnect; a friendly catch-up at the local Starbz. What I thought would be a short coffee chat became a full day of rekindling, and we’ve been hooked since. I couldn't be happier to say I'll be marrying my once lab partner and best friend.

Jeff proposed 3 years into our relationship and truth be told, it was a long-awaited but unforgettable moment! The beauty behind the proposal not only stems from our love, but also from the setting in which this big moment took place. A year before our story began, my mom passed away, and although Jeff never had a chance to meet her, on the day of the proposal he brought to life the cherished memory of my mom. He gathered both of our families to the site where my mom was laid to rest, covered it in beautiful roses and candles, and ensured that those we love the most were there to witness their children setting sail on a path toward becoming one...
