Keeping Up With The Johnson’s

Our story started almost 10 years ago at our very first job together — 4th Avenue Supermarket. After one joke and one laugh, Alexis was already sold. Our first date was at a hibachi restaurant, where Alexis quickly learned exactly what KJ was allergic to… after an unexpected trip to the emergency room. Ironically, that ride to the hospital was when KJ knew Alexis was the one. Alexis realized KJ was the one when she learned how to cook without burning water. From that point on, laughter became the foundation of our relationship. One of our favorite things to do together is try foods from different cultures. Whether we’re trying something new or just spending time together, we find joy in every moment. Alexis’ favorite thing about KJ is his eyebrows and his jokes. KJ’s favorite thing about Alexis is that she truly believes she’s funnier than him — (but she isn’t )more than anything, he loves the nurture she brings into his life. Our proposal was intimate and perfectly us. On Valentine’s Day 2026, right before dessert arrived, KJ got down on one knee and asked the question. Alexis laughed at first because that’s just who we are together — playful, silly, and always joking — until she realized he was serious. Her answer was an immediate, “ABSOLUTELY YES!” To know us is to know that our vibe is simple: wake up laughing, tell jokes all day, and end the night doing the exact same thing.
