We created this page as a convenient way to share all of the info you need in a helpful question-and-answer section. We'll continue to update this page as the wedding nears, stay tuned!
Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

In light of COVID-19, we want to let you know your health and safety are our top priority. If you’re no longer able to attend, we completely understand. You can update your RSVP anytime on our site, and we wish you health and safety during this difficult time.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to comply with COVID-19 mandates. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those who RSVP for themselves and any guest(s) they plan to bring.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

What time should I arrive? We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Boojum Tree is a novel garden wedding venue, located in Phoenix, Arizona. The work of Ray Brooks, an award-winning interior botanical designer, this garden setting was made accessible to the public after immense interest from the community. Boojum Tree offers both an indoor tropical garden with lush greenery and a 20-foot waterfall, and an outdoor ceremony area.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are lucky enough to have everything we need for this next exciting chapter of our lives! So please, no gifts – your presence is present enough for us. However, if you do wish to celebrate with a gift, a contribution to our Honeymoon fund would be warmly appreciated.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Traditional Ethiopian clothing is also always welcome. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.
