We're getting married

We were set up by a good friend Anita and her sister in law Kerri. Anita's brother coaches with Brandon so while at football game Kerri says to Anita "We need to set Coach Jackson up with someone" Anita's first response was "MARIA". That's how it all began! Brandon was given my phone number a week before we actually met (I honestly didn't think he would contact me, I mean how awkward would that be lol). And in fact it was awkward receiving a "Hi" text message from someone I didn't know. But thankfully I did, we ended up having good conversation and decided to meet that following Friday. We've continued to meet every Friday since then and the rest is history!

While on a work trip in San Francisco, we planned for Brandon to meet me there so we could spend the weekend somewhere different. He had been planning the proposal for a couple of months and even enlisted the help of my family for the ring. On Friday 6.28.19 he made plans for dinner. It was uncharacteristic like of him, so I just ran with it not thinking anything of it. I just thought he was taking initiative since I was at work all day. I ended up getting out of work later than I usually do and had absolutely no time to get ready for dinner, but didn't want to cancel since he had taken the time to make the reservation. We get to the restaurant and have dinner. After dinner, I was given a dessert menu. The dessert's had "love" themed names and I remember thinking "how cute". I was in the mood for dessert so literally read line by line the dessert and the ingredients (which I am sure felt like an eternity for Brandon). Finally at the very end of the dessert menu, was the proposal "Will you marry me Maria Fimbres?" I was in complete shock and quite confused. How did the restaurant know my name? lol. I was so confused and kept saying "I am so confused". He then stood up, took my hand and proposed on one knee. It couldn't have been anymore perfect!
