Facebook brought them to align, a double date caused them to be close, and a Country bar created a dream come true. Nikko’s swing dancing forced a new step for Alix to find, one that she had been looking for all along. The night marked the beginning of a future, and ignited a spark that made them both dream about what was next. From challenges to joys, they have woven a safety net, embracing love's twists and turns. Amidst their differences, Nikko as a Bachelor, and Alix as a determined single mom they found harmony. Now, 1 year and counting engaged, soon to be wed with three years together. A life stitched from diverse threads, has weathered storms and created meaning and passion. As a bonus chapter to this beautiful story, Alix’s little boy has embraced Nikko as a devoted stepdad, again another example of their diverse story, a tapestry of blended love.

Nikko, with the help of Alix’s closest friends, orchestrated a meticulously planned engagement. Nikko brought Alix to a hotel for a date, and said he had dinner plans there. He then asked Alix to dress her best for a romantic walk on the dusky beach & dinner. They walked down to the beach, when suddenly a Luke Combs song began to play, and as Alix glanced up, her son Jaxson emerged on the dim shoreline, bearing a heartfelt sign that said, “Will you marry Nikko?" Turning, she found Nikko on bended knee, friends emotional to their side.. Amid an elated "yes," they shared a kiss among their cheering friends. Overwhelmed, Alix and Nikko embraced and then rushed to their little boy, who stood admirably in the darkness on the beach. The ring signifies Alix’s taste perfectly, a breathtaking match, creating a beautiful moment to cherish for the rest of their lives.
