We’re getting married!

We met in 2015 at the University of Delaware! He was a senior music major and I was a freshman music major. After Winter Break, I auditioned for the a cappella group, Vocal Point. To my luck, I got in AND Ted was a member of the group. We started to get to know each other. From then on, we started our journey together!

Earlier that week, Ted and two friends of ours planned to have a picnic at a park in our town. We picked a time, date, and had placed a food order for the picnic. I was told to look nice for the picnic for a picture but honestly thought nothing of it. Once Ted and I arrived at the park, he grabbed my hand and brought me over to a gazebo overlooking the water. I was wondering, "where our friends were" and "is the sandwich I had ordered was going to be good?". He then turned to me and said, "I think this is going to be a special place for us." It was at that moment that reality clicked and the tears started flowing. After the proposal, our friends popped out! They had been hiding and had filmed the entire moment. There was no picnic, but there was a beautiful dinner to follow. Ted took me to Battello in Jersey City where our table was right on the Hudson River overlooking the New York Skyline. After dinner, fireworks started going off across the water! It was a beautiful way to start off our journey to being married.
