One Saturday, OU football game day, I (Sabrina) was walking towards Campus Corner to my car to go home after leaving my friends once they entered the stadium for the start of the game. A random guy (Jermaine) asked me to take a photo of him and his two friends by a blow-up OU football player near a tailgate. I gave Jermaine's phone back to him and proceeded on to my car. I ran into a friend to briefly chat and then continued walking. Jermaine and his friends were walking just ahead of me and Jermaine turned around to ask if I was headed to Campus Corner to watch the OU game? I told him 'No, I'm just going home,’ with no intentions of trying to do anything else that day. He asked me if I wanted to join him and his friends at O'Connell's to watch the game, and I said "Sure, why not." I figured I wouldn't stay for more than a quarter of the game, but conversations were had along with smiles and laughter and before we knew it, the game was over! Several of his friends were there and many of them are still part of our lives. Just like any relationship, ours has been a journey. Yes, there was technically a time when we were not together out of the 6 years, but since we met, we have only gone one week of not communicating with each other in some form or fashion. By the time our wedding rolls around, we will have been together (again) for over 4 years. We are grateful for our friends and family who share the love and joy with us as we celebrate our next chapter in life.
