SLO airport has a lot of affordable, domestic flights nowadays so definitely check it out! We highly recommend looking at SLO airport's options first if you are flying in to celebrate with us.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is another option to consider if you're flying from out of state/internationally. You have the option of taking the Amtrak train from LAX's Union Station directly to San Luis Obispo (approximately 5hrs of train time). Once you've arrived in San Luis Obispo, you can rent a car or Uber/Lyft to your destinations.

Oakland International Airport (OAK) is another great airport option for folks flying from out of state/internationally. Once you've arrived in Oakland, you have the option of taking the Amtrak train from the Coliseum/Airport Station (OAC) which is about 2mi from the Oakland airport. Total travel time on the train from OAC to San Luis Obispo is about 5.5hrs one way.

San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is one airport option to consider if you're flying from out of state/internationally. From SFO, we recommend renting a car or taking a Greyhound bus. Greyhound buses leave from San Francisco, which is about 20 minutes north of San Francisco International Airport. Total travel time on the Greyhound bus from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo is 3hrs 55min, one way.

Amtrak
If anyone is flying into LAX or OAK airport and you want to consider options outside of renting a car, the Amtrak train is fantastic and will take you directly to San Luis Obispo. It's a beautiful train ride! Once you've arrived in San Luis Obispo, you can consider renting a car in SLO, or Uber/Lyft to your destinations.
