Wedding Party

Get to know some of the people we are so blessed to have in our corner! Thanks to our tribe for being part of our love story and celebrating with us today and every day.

Morgan Kimble

Matron of Honor

I’m officially giving up my status as roommate and emergency contact, so Andre, you better take care of our girl! I met Jourdan as a sorority sister in Alpha Gamma Delta, but we really bonded over being horrible at skiing while poor Andre tried his very best to teach us. Since then, I have had the privilege of watching their relationship grow into one based on mutual respect, friendship, cat parenting, and knowing when to laugh at themselves!

Andrew Abrahamson

Best Man

Andre and I met in the trailers of Roswell Elementary School. We bonded over hot summers, roaches, and being forced to eat liverwurst. I fondly remember joking around during class while we sat and watched Bill Nye “The Science Guy” on our classroom tv, rigged to a roller cart so the industrial-sized machine could be "easily stored." Since then, we have continued to be in constant contact. We've celebrated finishing high school, getting our university degrees, finding and leaving jobs, and finding our significant others. Andre has been by my side through all the major events of my life, and I am thankful I get to be there for another one of his as a Best Man.

Sehr Ahmed

Maid of Honor

Unfortunately, it's difficult for me to submit a recent photo of Jourdan and me because we notoriously do not take pictures together. Looking back at my friendship with Jo, it's hard to believe there was ever a time we weren't friends. I met Jourdan (officially) in middle school, but our friendship truly blossomed freshman year of high school. Our friendship genuinely went 0-100 reaaaal quick. I don't remember having an acquaintance phase; we weren't friends, and then we were, and we've been best friends ever since. I always thought that no man was ever going to be good enough to deserve my best friend, and then one day during freshman year of college, Jo called me to tell me about a boy. "Should I go out with him? He's not really my type," she said. "Your type sucks. Give him a chance," I replied (or something along those lines). And then, BOOM, 9 years later, here we are! So, Andre, you're welcome. Without me, there would be no you and Jourdan. So, really, you owe your whole life to me. Good thing you're both stuck with me forever!

Julian Briglevich

Best Man

Way back in third grade, I first met Andre after moving to a brand new school. I was incredibly shy, but that didn’t stop Andre from inviting me to games during recess. From then on, we became an unstoppable force where nothing could break us apart. Over the years, as I changed schools again, we always kept in touch with hours-long home phone calls that made our parents seethe. Still to this day, just as we always had, we talk almost daily and make sure to keep each other humble; though sometimes simply through barbaric caveman grunts. It is a great privilege to call Andre my friend and an honor to be asked to be one of his Best Men.

Annie Gripshover

Bridesmaid

Hi! I’m Annie! I met Jourdan during our freshman year of college, and we instantly clicked. We were both in the same sorority, and from the very beginning, I knew she was someone special. Jourdan has a remarkable ability to give great advice and is deeply passionate about social issues. Our conversations about current events are always insightful and thought-provoking. She's incredibly supportive, always there with a kind word or a helping hand. I feel so fortunate to have Jo as a friend and am thrilled to stand by her side on her special day as she marries the love of her life.

Tyler Kimble

Groomsman

I first met Andre in the dark depths of Willy T library on UK’s campus. It was there that we spent many nights grinding out studying for our respective courses along with the girls who would become our wives while listening to amazing music (and also trash music), including trap remixes of Christmas classics. We quickly became close friends and continue to share our love of videogames, bourbon, and general tomfoolery. I believe fully that we will morph into two cranky old coots sitting on a park bench waving canes at “these damn kids,” as we are halfway there already. I am excited to be a part of and share in the joy of his wedding to Jourdan.

Kimberly Schutt

Bridesmaid

Hi! I’m Kim, and I’ve known Jourdan since our freshman year of college when we both joined Alpha Gamma Delta. We roomed together junior and senior year, and in that time, we bonded to each other for life! We are kindred spirits in our loves of cheese, tv shows, and being homebodies. Jourdan is the most kind and genuine person I know, and I am thrilled to be part of her wedding hype squad as she marries the love of her life! Jourdan and Andre have always been a great couple, and I’m proud to count them as some of my best friends. I can’t wait to cheer them on as they enter this new chapter of their lives.

Mark Millen

Groomsman

I met Andre in college through Triangle at UK. We instantly bonded over video games and our engineering courses. We ended up becoming roommates our junior year. It was a blast living with him and everyone in the house. While we live in different states, we continue to catch up, play video games, and talk bourbon. I was happy to have him as a groomsman in my wedding, and I'm honored to stand with him as marries the love of his life.

Olivia Wright

Bridesmaid

I had the pleasure of meeting Jourdan as a sister in the same college sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. In a famed squirrel buddy date (the “get to know you” process for selecting bigs and littles) that lasted a whopping 6 hours, I very quickly realized that Jo was someone special. In hindsight, I was mortified that I kept her trapped on that squirrel buddy date for so long, but we never ran out of things to talk about, and she didn’t seem to mind too much as she did, in fact, become my big in the end. Jourdan has been there for me through it all, and I consider myself infinitely lucky that she was brought into my life, but what I find most special is the fact that I’m not the first person, nor the last, to express such sentiments. Jourdan shares her entire wonderful self with the world, and seeing her touch the lives of so many people in a positive way makes me truly proud to know her. It has been a joy getting to know Andre through Jourdan as well, bonding over car camping gear and setups, but the biggest blessing is watching them tackle new heights and grow together as a couple. Let’s get these two awesome people married!

Steven Hall

Groomsman

I met Andre during our first engineering class, sitting in the front row of Dr. Tagavi's Thermodynamics course. Dr. Tagavi didn’t exactly inspire confidence, especially a few weeks into the course, when he spent an entire class period solving a problem incorrectly and then dismissed the class with a casual shrug as if nothing had happened. Despite all of this, we shared a determination to push through, to finish engineering school no matter how many times we had to teach ourselves the coursework. Our friendship grew from shared frustration, study sessions, and the simple drive to make it through, and now, nearing his wedding, I can’t help but reflect on how far we’ve come from those early days and all the challenges we’ve overcome together. I'm grateful to Andre for the friendship we've formed encompassing shared interests, goals for the future, and yes a few frustrations along the way. I am grateful to Jourdan too, she was also part of that adventure, can't wait for you two to join each other in the next chapter and wish all the happiness and laughter life has to offer. Can't wait to get my own picture with Andre in a tux.

Sarah Mageed

Bridesmaid

Jourdan likes to say that she schemed her way into a friendship with Div and me by inviting us over for dinner at the beginning of med school; but crockpot chicken tacos or not, she was already stuck with me. I had the great honor of being Jourdan’s last roommate in Indy before she committed to living with a boy forever, and co-conspirator in adopting Libby when we promised Andre we were looking at dogs in the shelter, oops. Big shoutout to Jo for forcibly volunteering Andre for many manual labor tasks for me over the years, and for giving me a family in Indy when I didn’t have one. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have been beside you guys over the past couple years and in this next chapter.

Josh Shapiro

Groomsman

After an hour of scouring old GroupMes and reading ancient text chains, I couldn't find a good picture of us so I had AI do some cropping to make it look like we're having the best time, just the two of us. I don't remember meeting Andre, he just showed up one day and we were family (love you son!). Throughout our college years we bonded over our love of Bourbon Barrel Ale, a good porch sit, Blue Reef, and finding the exact right GIF to post at any moment. We had many fun nights living together for a couple years, but my favorite memories will always be from real parties (getting food) after the party. Congrats to Jourdan and Andre!

Divya Udayan

Bridesmaid

When Jourdan invited me and Sarah over for taco night about six years ago, I had no idea I would be starting a friendship with one of the sweetest humans I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. From trying aerial silks to watching ridiculous Netflix Christmas movies, so many of my favorite Indiana memories are shared with Jourdan. Though we’re no longer in the same city, I continue to feel her love and support, and I’m beyond grateful she is a part of my life. I am so excited to be part of our beautiful bride’s special day!

Kyle Greulach

Groomsman

I met Andre during my first week of college and he quickly became my best friend at UK. We spent so much together that first semester, that we wondered what else we were missing from the college experience. During our 2nd semester of college, we decided to rush fraternities together and found ourselves accepting bids from the exact same one. Over our college years, we continued to spend much of our time together from being roommates, to study buddies, to a shoulder cry on when we needed it the most. After college, we continued to keep in touch whether it was going to bachelor parties, a Colts game, the Indy 500, or even a place to crash in Indy various times when I was working on my tattoo sleeve. Through all of this time, I have gotten the chance to know Jourdan as well. I remember clearly the first time her and Andre danced together at our fraternity rush party during Freshman year. I remember having talks with Andre about Jourdan after that first party and it has been amazing to see how they have grown together since then and now as they enter marriage. I want to personally thank Jourdan for putting up with Kandre during their entire relationship. Every time I see the both of them, I am always reminded of the things Kandre got into together (from Jourdan’s point of view) and it always makes me laugh. I am honored to be apart of Jourdan and Andre’s wedding party and am excited to see what the future has in store for them!
