Question

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please be there by 5:55pm as the ceremony starts promptly at 6pm!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, the hotels are a five minute walk from Union Station, and there will also be a shuttle running between the Phoenix Park Hotel and Union Station from 3:30pm until 6pm. There will be no return service.

We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but unless your invitation specifies, we are unable to accommodate plus ones. Thank you for your understanding!

Where should I eat during the wedding weekend?

For those of you who may not know, Jourdi is a BIG foodie, so much so that she has a food Instagram account @district_foodie if you don’t already follow, that showcases places to eat around DC! This has really helped Brandon become less of a picky eater! Here are some suggestions of places to eat for the wedding weekend: Around the hotels/Union Station: - Quick fast casual options within Union Station: Shake Shack, Cava, Sweetgreen, Potbelly, Chik-Fil-A, Halal Guys - Tatte Bakery- a bakery/lunch spot - L’Ardente- Delicious “Glam” Italian fine dining - Bar Spero- High end seafood fine dining - SUNdeVICH- for a good sandwich Walk Distance from Old Ebbitt: - Old Ebbitt- A D.C. classic - The Hamilton- American Fare - Joe’s Seafood, Steakhouse and Stone Crab- If you have been to Miami then you know this spot. Upscale Steakhouse and Seafood - The Smith- American - Jaleo- Spanish Tapas by humanitarian and Chef Jose Andres - Oyamel- Upscale Mexican by humanitarian and Chef Jose Andres - Hill Country BBQ- Who doesn’t love a good BBQ spot

5-10 Minute Uber Ride or Walking Distance (Depending on your definition of Walking Distance) from Old Ebbitt: - Le Diplomat- Another D.C. classic, need a reservation or expect to wait! - Tiger Fork- Upscale Chinese - Unconventional Diner- Upscale American - Astoria DC- Sichuan-style Other areas around DC & note-worthy of trying: - Sichuan Pavilion- It would be remis of us not to mention Brandon’s (now Jourdi’s) favorite Chinese spot for authentic Sichuan food. - Caruso’s Grocery- Great Italian - Duke’s Grocery- Great burgers - Maydan- Middle Eastern and Delicious, need reservations (hard to get) - Albi- Middle Eastern and Delicious, need reservations (hard to get) You may be asking, where can I get a good bagel around here (and yes, they deliver on various apps- UberEats, DoorDash, PostMates): - Bethesda Bagels - Call Your Mother - Pearls Bagels If you don’t see a place listed here and are wondering if you should go, text Jourdi who would be happy to discuss.
