We both worked at Chick-fil-a. I thought he was too cool for school and was very picky when talking to people. We had worked together for a while, but we never really talked unless it was about changes in order. One day, I had a headset, and someone needed to add something. As I was telling him the changes in the order, I looked into his eyes, and my heart (for real) skipped a beat. Since then, Riley has had my heart, and I tried everything to talk to him. I listened to music he did, I started watching Naruto, and I told him I liked playing video games (which was a little bit of a lie). One day, I asked him if there was a day we both did not work, so we should hang out together. He got my phone number but never texted back, so I had to text him about Naruto. The rest is history.
On that day we had church service since it was Easter day. I had suspicions that he was proposing that day, but I did not give him enough credit and thought he would never have thought of it. I thought about how perfect it was since we had planned "Family pictures" after church and we would go back to his house for his parents and mine to eat. He did not seem nervous and (again) I thought it was too perfect. We got to Aldridge Gardens, and the photographer was there, and that is when I knew that it was going to happen. After dating for forever (4 years), He finally asked me to spend forever with him. Still the easiest yes ever!
The reason we chose blue and purple is because these are our favorite colors. He likes purple and I like blue. It symbolizes us coming together as two people and making a beautiful story.
We both found each other when we were in pieces and put each other back up. We are like Ying and Yang. We are complete opposites, but we need each other to work. I like to say that I showed him how to be in a relationship, but he showed me how to love fully. He did not have any experience in being in a relationship, and I did not have good experience in being in a healthy relationship.
