We’ve basically been stuck with each other since before we even knew how to spell commitment. (Well probably just Josie.) We met in junior high, two kids with no idea what we were doing, just trying to survive bad haircuts and very questionable fashion choices but somehow knowing we liked being around each other a little too much. We became best friends fast. Like tell each other everything, can’t stay mad, laugh at absolutely everything kind of best friends. The kind where everyone said, “just date already,” and honestly. They were right. We made it through high school, still glued at the hip, still making each other laugh, and still pretending we weren’t basically a couple already (we weren’t fooling anyone). Somewhere along the way, best friends turned into forever. A simple realization that this person had been my person all along. Same best friend. Same inside jokes. Same us. Just forever this time. 🤍
