We met in Kalispell, Montana at the Pro Rodeo 5 years ago. My brother Hayden was riding Brady's horse in the steer wrestling. A few years went by, and in 2023 we reconnected at The Outlaw at the Cheyenne Frontier Days. Our first date was at Brady's ranch in Montana after he jokingly said, "Want to come over and go hunting?". Little did he know I would be extremely quick to take him up on that. A few weeks later, Brady came over to Washington and went to his first WSU football game with two of my closest friends and myself. #gocougs Now what I think really solidified Brady's interest in me, was my nana's chili I made for the tailgate. He asked me to be his girlfriend that same weekend. We were together for about 1.5 years before Brady asked me to be his wife. We went out to "check cows and put mineral out" the morning after his best friends wedding. You could say I was less than enthusiastic about this early morning. Unwillingly, I hopped in the side by side and away we went. Now what should have been a dead giveaway something was up, was that there was actually no mineral with us in the side by side. But of course I didn't notice that until after. Brady stopped at a very special spot on the ranch to show me where his Great Grandfather Claire would always ride to during lunch and eat at. There is this huge rock and was his favorite spot on the ranch. It is now my favorite spot as well. So good pick Claire! Claire and Edna's ashes were both spread there and it is where their headstones are placed. After a few minutes of chatting about Claire, Edna and some of the early happenings of the Boyce Ranch, I turned around to soak in the beauty of this perfect summer morning in Montana. The next moment I turned around, Brady was down on one knee. It was the happiest and most special moment for us.
