Salt Lake International Airport is a quick 10 minutes from downtown, and has flights from all over the country. A variety of public transport, or ride share options can get you into the city quickly and inexpensively.
For folks looking to make a bigger trip out of the event, Las Vegas International Airport (6 hrs from SLC) gives you great access to both the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park (among other wonders). Jackson Hole Airport (5 hrs from SLC) puts you at the foot of Grand Teton National Park and 1 hour from Yellowstone.
For those that want to visit Moab (Canyonlands and Arches national parks, and more) , there is a small airport in the town of Moab, though there aren't many flight options. The most common way to travel to Moab is to fly into SLC and drive about 3.5 hours to Moab
