Prince Gallitzin Chapel House

There is a chapel house on the church grounds that was the original home and chapel of Prince Demetrius Gallitzin. Prince Gallitzin founded the town of Loretto, PA in the late 18th century and was the first Catholic priest to receive all of his holy orders in the newly founded United States. He is entombed in front of the Basilica.
