What should I wear?

Answer

Something WARM! We're going to be looking the best we ever have and you should too! For the ladies, tea length or floor length dresses would look great on you! For the gentlemen, a dark suit (tie optional) would be the bees knees. NOTE: The cocktail hour will take place outside (in December, in Virginia) so bring your warmest coat. We will provide heaters as you enjoy the *crisp* mountain air!

What are the need-to-knows about traveling to Abingdon, VA?

Answer

Abingdon is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and not always the easiest to travel into. We've included a few tips for traveling to our wedding! The closest airport is Tri-Cities Regional Airport. Asheville and Charlotte have the next largest airports a few hours away. There is no convenient public transporation, so a car (or a friend with a car!) is necessary.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We do have a hotel block available, but it is located in Bristol which is approximately 20 minutes away. We recommend finding a quaint AirBnB or a hotel in Abingdon. Check the Travel page for recommendations.

Will there be food?

Answer

Refreshments will be served during the cocktail hour followed by a meal at the reception. Our ceremony time is 3PM and an early dinner will be served at the start of the reception. Come hungry!
