We're Eloping

Kim and Josie first crossed paths in June 2023 while both were knee-deep in basic training. Though Kim and Josie might tell you different stories about how it all went down, one thing is clear: they met at church, thanks to a few friends. At first, they were just a couple of strangers getting through the toughest part of training, seeing each other on Sundays, but as the days passed, their connection grew. They found comfort in each other’s company during long days, sharing laughs, swapping stories, and supporting each other through boot camp challenges. Despite the intense nature of basic training, their friendship quickly blossomed into something deeper, and by the end of it, they were inseparable. After graduation, they were stationed at different bases but kept in touch for a while before losing contact for a few months. Eventually, Kim reached out to Josie to let her know she was being assigned to her base. What followed was a month of laughter, tears, and a lot of studying together. But soon, it was time for Josie to leave for her permanent duty station in Louisiana, while Kim remained in Texas. Rumors spread that Kim might be headed to Italy, but then, two weeks later, Josie received a call from Kim—she was actually going to Arkansas, only three hours away! By November 2023, Kim and Josie began dating, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Whether it’s watching movies, cooking, or grabbing coffee, they’ve built a life full of shared moments and happiness together. Looking to the future, Kim and Josie have big plans. They’re dreaming of buying a house to call their own, creating a cozy home where they can continue building their life together. And of course, they can’t wait to expand their family with some furry friends—they’re both excited about the idea of having "fur babies" to love and care for.
