Formal! We only get to do this once, so lets pull out the nice stuff from the back of the closet. Think suits with a tie, long dresses, high heels, aspen hats. The weather looks nice but it does get chilly at night, and this is an outdoor wedding. Oh, and no white dresses except for Josie!
For convenience we have a block of hotels booked at Ameristar Casino in Black Hawk, CO. Please visit the Travel link above to book a hotel room. It is a convenient 25 minute drive to the venue, and coincidentally a fun place to stay with plenty of casinos and restaurants.
Our wedding is being held at Blackstone River Ranch in Idaho Springs, CO. Take I-70 to Exit 240 (Mt. Evans/HWY 103) and head south toward Mt. Evans and proceed 3.5 miles. Before you arrive at the ranch, you’ll see the water department property on the left (6′ chain-link fence). Head approximately 1/4 mile past the end of that property and take a left into the 3rd ranch entrance. You’ll know you’re here when you see our covered wagon! Park in the large parking lot and walk across the bridge to the Pavilion area. Just a side note: if you drive to the Trout Farm, you’ve gone too far. Turn around, and come back to us.
Just yourself, your dancing shoes, and some cash to tip our lovely bartenders.
Please don't bring your own alcohol or any sort of firearm, fireworks, sparklers, that kind of thing. There's an open bar, and we don't want to burn the forest down! Also, although it's legal here in lovely Colorado, no marijuana is allowed to be consumed on the premises.
