Our Big Adventure

We first met when we were teamed up as lab partners for our Population Biology class at the University of North Dakota. We had a big semester project studying the life cycle and life history of Great White Sharks and had to regularly meet outside of class. Slowly over the course of the semester we got to know each other better. Then spring break came along and we made plans to meet up and go on a bike ride. We ended up biking for over 30 miles, talking the whole time! We were exhausted, but it was worth it. Little did we know that it was the start of our great adventure 🌲❤️

We decided to head to Mirror Lake State Park for Josie's birthday to open presents and go hiking. It had just snowed the night before, so it was beautiful. We walked down by the lake and sat at a picnic table to open presents. The final gift was a scrapbook of all the adventures to various National and State Parks that we had been to. On the last page, Flint wrote Josie a letter with the last sentence saying: Will you join me on our next adventure? It was truly a magical moment.
