snxw meneɂ (sin-HOO-men-huh) is Salish for "salmon people" and is the name given to the island in Riverfront Park in 2017. This island was previously known as Canada Island, and many maps (including Google Maps) still reference it by its former name.
Recommended attire is semi-formal or dressy casual. Keep in mind that both our ceremony and reception locations have grassy areas, so please wear suitable shoes!
We have two! Our ceremony will take place at Riverfront Park (walking distance from the Centennial Hotel), and our reception will be held at Gonzaga-owned Bozarth Mansion, which is near Whitworth University north of Spokane.
Yes! We want to celebrate with all of you!
Nope! For us, our names are part of who we are, so neither of us will be changing our legal names.
We met and fell in love in Spokane, so it has a special place in our hearts. When we thought about where we wanted to get married, we wanted it to be somewhere meaningful for us, and Spokane felt like the natural choice. For more reasons to love Spokane, see our Things To Do page!
