We met at Bible college, but our story didn’t start right away. Josiah had already been at the school for a year before we really got to know each other. It wasn’t until September of 2023, at a friend’s birthday dinner, that things began to shift. That night, all of the best efforts were given to impress me, including tossing out a few compliments in Portuguese. We exchanged numbers that evening and started texting here and there. Just a month later in October, we both attended a friend’s wedding. As "unplanned" as possible, we ended up sitting next to each other. That night we took our very first picture together, and looking back, it was the beginning of something special. It took a bit of persistence (I'll leave you guessing from which end lol), but eventually, things just clicked. From then on, we started texting daily, intentionally getting to know each other on a deeper level. By the end of November, we admitted that we liked each other and began praying, asking God to guide us and bless whatever this could become. We waited for about 2–3 months, and in February 2024, we officially started dating. Now, two years later, here we are getting married! All glory to our Father, Jesus, who wrote this beautiful story long ago before we lived it. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
